Due to increasing growth opportunities Varian is looking for a highly motivated, experienced Medical Physicist (f/m/d) with good clinical experience of Linear Accelarator commissioning and treatment planning. The successful candidate will support business growth covering the full range of clinical services offered in the EMEA region.

This role will offer the successful candidate a challenging and varied career within a growing team. The role offers the opportunity to support clinical teams with commissioning new equipment and the implementation of services as well as the setup and provision of treatment planning services for customers in EMEA.

Your role:

  • Prepare commissioning and validation reports for linear accelerator validation services, commissioning reports and other related services
  • Provide on-site and remote support to our linear accelerator customers and support clinical consultancy for implementation
  • Assist and perform proper test scenarios such as water phantom setup and measurements for on-site data collection
  • Provide annual quality assurance measurements and assist in specific projects (e.g. compliance projects with local regulations)
  • Active participation in process improvement initiatives and software development

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in medical physics or a closed related field
  • Multiple years of experience as Clinical Medical Physicist in radiation oncology
  • Experience with treatment planning and delivery in an oncology focused environment
  • Experience in a direct customer facing environment with well-developed customer facing skills is a plus
  • Strong in building and maintaining successful and effective working relationships as well as strong communication skills
  • Availability for travel within Europe up to 50%
  • Fluent language skills in German and English
