Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Azure Operations Expert to manage, optimize, and support our Azure-based infrastructure. This role involves overseeing the performance, security, and automation of cloud operations while ensuring best practices for high availability, disaster recovery, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Azure Infrastructure Management:
    • Design, deploy, and manage Azure resources (VMs, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, Virtual Networks, etc.).
    • Ensure operational excellence through monitoring, performance tuning, and system optimization.
  • Automation and Scripting:
    • Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform.
    • Automate deployment and operational processes using PythonC#, PowerShell, or Azure CLI.
    • Design and implement reusable automation frameworks to streamline cloud operations across Azure and AWS environments.
    • Leverage scripting to facilitate cross-platform integrations and maintain consistency between Azure and AWS.
  • Cost Management:
    • Optimize Azure costs through resource tagging, reserved instances, and rightsizing.
    • Monitor and forecast cloud spending while ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Collaboration and Documentation:
    • Work closely with development, security, and IT teams to align cloud operations with business objectives.
    • Document architecture, processes, and best practices to maintain an operational knowledge base.

Required Qualifications:

  • Three or more years of hands-on experience managing Azure cloud infrastructure.
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps and Terraform.
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts (VNETs, VPN, ExpressRoute, NSGs).
  • Expertise in PythonC#, PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other scripting languages.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging using Azure MonitorLog Analytics, and Application Insights.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation best practices.
  • Some experience with Cosmo and other database solutions in Azure.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Sumo Logic.
  • Experience with Snowflake – especially service connections to and from it.
  • A strong interest in Operationalizing Data.
  • Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator AssociateAzure Solutions Architect Expert).
  • Experience with container orchestration using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • Knowledge of hybrid cloud environments and Azure Arc.
  • AWS experience in infrastructure management, automation, or cross-cloud operations.
