This is an exciting opportunity to join IQVIA as an Oncology Overlay Sales Specialist in partnership with Johnson and Johnson Innovative Medicine Lung Oncology division. The Oncology Overlay  Sales Specialist will be assigned a territory as part of a national team to educate and promote oncology therapeutics to the key oncology stakeholders. Territory size and coverage will vary and could include a combination of individual and overlay account responsibilities.

In this role, you will convey complex clinical, diagnostic, and access information to customers and key stakeholders so that all appropriate patients can benefit from our therapies.  You must be able to combine strong clinical and interpersonal skills to establish yourself as a trusted partner.  Through probing define the patient’s unmet needs and align on solutions, compliantly and within the company framework that exceeds customer expectations. This position works closely with cross functional peers, in a collaborative environment, to ensure that the company suite of services is made available as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from an accredited school required.
  • Minimum of 4 years sales experience in pharma/biotech specialty sales or device  and/or comparable Oncology experience is required.
  • Oncology sales experience is highly preferred 
  • A strong desire to put patients’ health first
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales objectives
  • Proven ability to communicate a compelling, clinical message with customers
  • High level of learning agility in support of multiple client teams
  • Prior experience working and collaborating in a team environment at an account level
  • Knowledge of the reimbursement and fulfillment pathway for specialty products
  • Strong account management and superior selling skills focused on providing a high level of customer service
  • Opportunistic, driven and proven ability to find ways to win in ambiguous and evolving environment
  • Ability to travel overnight up to 50% within continental US

  • Strong and effective presentation skills across multiple channels (face to face, phone, and virtual engagement platforms)

  • Demonstrated analytical skills and business acumen (Conduct business analysis, actively prospect for new business within the geography, align with sales and marketing strategies, develop account plans with District Manager and internal partners.)
  • Strong cross-functional, collaborative teamwork skills
  • A valid, clean driver’s license issued in one (1) of the fifty (50) United States is required
  • Must reside within territory
  • Work virtually when necessary, making outbound calls developing relationships and building trust with key providers and staff. Educating stake holders using all available virtual tools.  
  • Strong, effective, and compliant presentation and communication skills across multiple channels including all virtual engagement platforms.
  • Successful experience working Teaching Institutions, major hospitals, large oncology clinics,  groups, and or accounts.
  • Ability to successfully work in an overlay position, collaborating with partners with shared account responsibility.
  • Request, organize and attend relevant oncology conferences which may occur on weekends.
  • Appropriately utilize all company approved marketing tools and resources, including digital presentations, use selling skills framework to advance in the selling cycle (i.e., another appointment, in-service, patient identification, etc.)
  • Develop customer specific pre- and post-call plans that include objectives, probes, and supporting approved materials.

The potential base pay range for this role is $100,000 - $152,000 annually. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
