We are currently seeking a Lead Software Engineer within the Tax & Accounting organization specialized in our CS Connect environment. As the Lead Software Engineer, your role is critical to continue delivering industry-leading Tax solutions built with a keen focus on engineering excellence. We are looking for an individual who can successfully work in a dynamic environment based on evolving Tax business & compliance needs. About the Role 
As a Lead Software Engineer, you will: 
•    Collaborate with Architects, managers, and your peers to understand business goals, contribute to the architectural vision and drive the product enhancements while owning the engineering excellence of the delivery
•    Lead the Engineering teams and Product partners to refine the requirements and develop solutions using engineering best practices
•    Establish standards & mentor team members to ensure they adhere to the determined software quality standard
•    Perform analysis, feature design, and participate in implementation as needed
•    Work independently, and as part of a team, to deliver testable, scalable, and performant features.
•    Lead code reviews & provide technical expertise to foster a growth mindset
•    Contribute to a sustainable culture of innovation, collaboration, and high performance
•    Be a self-starter with a strong sense of ownership
•    Be flexible to perform a wide range of tasks, responding to changes in direction and priorities, and accepting new challenges
•    Build cooperation among individuals and departments, share information and resources, and work to achieve team/department goals and outcomes
 
About You 
You are a fit for the role of Lead Software Engineer if you have: 

•    Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related technical discipline is required
•    9+ years of application development experience
•    Experience developing enterprise solutions using C#/Java, .NET, Visual Studio, SQL/Postgres, Perl Knowledge is a plus.
•    Experience establishing application design specifications and leading the implementation with a keen focus on non-functional requirements
•    Proven ability to lead a team including prioritization, setting expectations, and coaching staff members to deliver successfully
•    Own end-to-end feature delivery in a team environment
•    Experience with source control utilities, such as ADO, Git, TFS
•    Experience with Agile, API development, and experience with full software development lifecycle is a must
•    Strong troubleshooting and debugging experience
 
Preferred qualifications 
•    Knowledge of web technologies to include: ASP.NET, NHibernate, REST, SQL, AngularJS, HTML5, JavaScript, or CSS a plus
•    Experience with cloud migration, cloud-enabled solution design, and or cloud-native development in AWS
•    Experience working with remote and globally distributed teams
•    Knowledge of Industry standard design patterns for high performing, scalable solutions supporting microservices architecture
