Position Overview:

As part of the talented Navico Group team, you will significantly contribute to Navico Group’s financial performance by providing effective leadership and supervision within our Menomonee Falls manufacturing facility. The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the manufacturing floor, ensuring that production processes run smoothly and efficiently. Leveraging Continuous Improvement, effective Project Management, and Leadership skills, this position will help Navico Group deliver "best in class" results in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage and document cross‑training on the production floor by assessing skill gaps, coordinating training plans, maintaining accurate training records, and ensuring employees are adequately trained to support operational flexibility and business continuity.
  • Manage and monitor inventory levels, ensuring materials are available to support production schedules while minimizing waste and optimizing cost. Maintain and execute the cycle count program with accuracy exceeding financial requirements to reduce discrepancies and eliminate the need for full physical inventories.
  • Track, analyze, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide clear visibility into operational performance, identify trends, and drive data‑informed actions that improve efficiency, quality, and overall production results.
  • Manage the relationship with the Engineering department and Project Managers to provide operational support, coordinate resources, and ensure projects are implemented accurately and on time.
  • Ensure on‑time delivery of all customer orders by coordinating production schedules, monitoring workflow progress, and proactively addressing delays to meet or exceed delivery commitments.
  • Manage and control departmental expenses by monitoring budgets, reviewing spending, identifying cost‑saving opportunities, and ensuring all expenditures align with company financial guidelines and operational needs.
  • Manage production headcount based on demand fluctuations by analyzing workload requirements, adjusting staffing levels, coordinating labor allocation, and ensuring the department has the right number of trained employees to meet production goals efficiently.
  • Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure efficient workflow, minimal downtime, and achievement of established production targets.
  • Implement and sustain quality control procedures to guarantee products consistently meet company specifications and customer expectations.
  • Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities to enhance productivity, streamline processes, and reduce operational costs.
  • Promote and uphold a strong safety culture by leading onsite Safety Committee activities and ensuring compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Prepare, analyze, and present production performance reports, including metrics such as output, efficiency, scrap, downtime, and quality results.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, planning, purchasing, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve issues and support production goals.
  • Ensure 5S standards and housekeeping practices are met and sustained daily to maintain an organized and efficient work environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support plant operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:  

  • Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, problem solving abilities, and proficiency in manufacturing software and tools
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, lean manufacturing/Continuous Improvement and safety regulations
  • Must be proficient in the use of MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Power Point)

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (Engineering, Business Management) or related field or equivalent experience
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
  • Strong work ethic and high energy level.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Working Conditions:

  • Noise and Dust: The environment may be noisy and dusty due to the movement of goods and machinery.
  • Temperature Variations: May experience varying temperatures
  • Physical Demands: The job often requires lifting and moving heavy objects, standing for long periods, and walking extensively.
  • Irregular Schedules: May need to work irregular hours, including weekends, to meet operational demands.
  • Safety Protocols: Must adhere to and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.

The hiring range for this position is $54,300 - $72'500 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary based on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
