About Team

This role is part of the Walmart Global Marketplace team, specifically focusing on the Seller Onboarding journey. Marketplace is a key area for Walmart eCommerce, where third-party sellers can manage their items, fulfill customer orders, and navigate various seller journeys. The Onboarding team is primarily dedicated to enabling new sellers to join the platform and participate in exclusive programs. This role aims to accelerate our Seller Onboarding roadmap, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for more sellers.

What you'll do:

  • Technical Documentation: Publish and update technical architecture and user/process documentation.
  • Solution Development: Take Lead’s guidance for Architecting and designing a subset or full system. Build, and deploy cutting-edge solutions at scale, impacting millions of customers and thousands of sellers.
  • Evaluations: Drive Proof of Concept (POC) and Proof of Technology (POT) evaluations.
  • Mentorship: Provide technical mentorship and coaching to engineers, enhancing team deliverables by assessing risks, overcoming challenges, and offering technical guidance.
  • Solution Design: Create and recommend solution design options, considering requirements, standards, and the current infrastructure environment.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate and present solutions to stakeholders.
  • Feature Delivery: Play a technical lead role in feature delivery.
  • System Monitoring: Review KPIs, monitoring, and alarms to ensure a successful production system.

What You'll Bring:

  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in architecture, design, development, and reviews.
  • Walmart Scale: Experience navigating and implementing solutions at Walmart's scale across various business units.
  • Community Interaction: Engage with a highly skilled community of architects to share and learn new technologies, scale, and performance.
  • Scalable Solutions: Hands-on experience in designing scalable solutions and working with Walmart's business and products.
  • Development Experience: Proficiency in developing sophisticated, scalable, and high-performing systems.
  • Open-Source Technologies: Leverage open-source technologies using public clouds, mentor engineers, present ideas to larger organizational groups, and foster an independent team culture.
  • Educational Background: An Engineering Degree (B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech/MS) in any stream, preferably Computer Science.
  • Relevant Experience: 4+ years of relevant experience in backend development using Java Spring Boot, YAML, Git, automated testing, cloud technologies, and Kubernetes.
  • Mandatory Skills: Strong understanding of CS fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving. Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, cloud (Azure), Kubernetes, CI/CD, unit and functional test automation.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead and guide the team on technical aspects.
  • Cross-functional collaboration, such as working with Product, UX, and Data teams, to show the breadth of influence
