As a Commercial Project Manager on the motor grader product team at Caterpillar, you will manage the planning, organization and implementation of complex critical growth projects for the motor grader commercial team.

What you will do:

  • Lead cross functional teams on 2-3 or more concurrent projects intended to drive commercial growth and busiess results for the motor grader product lines.  Projects many include new source introductions, new work tool introductions, equipment processing center changes, developing new technology offerings, or other critical initiatives.

  • Oversee project processes and procedures; monitor the productivity and performance of project teams.

  • Manage all aspects of projects: Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of projects.

  • Review and ensure adherence to project materials, deliverables methodologies and procedures.

  • Prepare and present program level reports for upper management.

  • Planning skills where you’ve demonstrated your ability to develop, refine, and communicate tactical plans.

  • Extensive experience in Analytical Thinking where you have organized and prioritized the sequence of steps to be taken to remedy the situation and quantified the costs, benefits, risks and chances for success before recommending a course of action.

  • Demonstrated ability to be Flexible and Adaptable by working effectively with unstructured teams, situations, or environments.

  • Developed Influencing skills where you have regularly presented ideas or suggestions to associates in persuasive terms.

  • A strong ability to Manage Multiple Priorities, readily shifting focus among several efforts as required by changing priorities.

Top candidates will also bring:

  • Knowledge of motor grader products

  • The ability to effectively collaborate with people with diverse experience and perspectives.

  • Project management experience

Additional Details:

  • Location: Peoria, IL

  • Position requires up to 25% travel to manufacturing facilities, dealers, trade shows, or other locations as needed to support the projects.  Travel is primarily domestic but limited international travel may be expected.
