As a SEO Director on the Marketing team, a typical day for you will include:

  • Develop, manage and evolve a portfolio of Neighborly brands’ SEO strategy and roadmap, including managing enterprise SEO budgets and organic traffic forecasts. Define Neighborly’s SEO best practices and content guidelines; share with internal stakeholders and external SEO vendors to ensure all work adheres to industry SEO best practices and Google’s guidelines.
  • Manage internal SEO teams and external SEO vendors across Neighborly’s portfolio of brands. Recommend and manage enterprise SEO budgets and varying local-funded models (e.g. internally-funded SEO teams, local agency driven SEO packages, enterprise-funded local SEO campaigns).
  • Lead, mentor and retain a best-in-class team of SEO specialists; provide guidance to SEO specialists that are housed within the brand teams to ensure SEO best practices and Google’s guidelines are followed.
  • Manage Local SEO programs with agency partners, including scoping the vendor engagements, negotiating pricing and ensuring vendors are adhering to Neighborly’s SEO best practices.
  • Set the SEO team’s direction across SEO disciplines, including on-page SEO, off-page SEO, technical SEO and page schema. Share best practices, including keyword ranking and performance, with the paid digital team, Local Listings and content strategy to optimize franchise owner traffic and leads.
  • Serve as the SEO industry expert for internal stakeholders and FOs, including providing communication and guidance for SEO best practices and Google Algorithm changes. Mentor the SEO team in developing written and oral communication updates to brand teams and franchise networks, including brand president communications, franchise owner communications, franchise advisory meetings, town halls and brand gatherings.

(Required qualifications)

  • Experience: 10+ years SEO experience, strategic thinking with a strong passion for digital marketing and SEO
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical skills, using SEO tools and Google Analytics, Google Search Console to analyze and draw conclusions from data to make impactful SEO decisions and optimizations
    • Extensive working knowledge of on-page SEO, technical SEO, industry best-practice backlinking strategies, search engine ranking factors
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred  
  • Schedule / in-office requirements: Monday – Friday
