Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has an opening for a Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals in our San Diego, CA location supporting the program portfolio within the Communications Solutions BU.  This position is Onsite located in San Diego, CA. Responsibilities:  

• Develops supply chain strategy and leads activities for GSC in all phases of the Northrop Grumman Business Acquisition Process (BAP).

• Manages the GSC scope for multifaceted program(s), proposal through close-out.  Coordinates interdepartmental activity, directs communication, coordinates with Suppliers, and integrates efforts across all GSC functions.

• Coordinates cross-functionally (with all program functions) to ensure supply chain commitments are met and that appropriate integrated mitigation or opportunity plans are developed and executed.

• Leads supply chain execution and is accountable for horizontal and vertical integration, resource planning, material cost, forecasting, schedule performance, risk/opportunity and issue management, supplier performance, and issue resolution.

• Aligns project scope and deliverables with customer requirements and works closely with the technical community.

• Demonstrates problem solving skills in supply chain, business management, operations, logistics, engineering, or program management.

• Briefs the GSCPM on the status and issues affecting program performance:  Cost, risks and opportunities, and schedule.

• Will be involved in special projects and continuous improvement activities.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain/business management or Master’s Degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain or business management

• Experience with ERP systems

• Experience in financial reporting/forecasting

• US Citizen

• Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active Secret or Top-Secret Security clearance

• Experience in Earned Value Management Systems

• ASCM/APICS Supply Chain Certifications

Primary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
