What you will do

The Frick Aftermarket Parts Sales Account Manager is responsible for growing JCI Frick Aftermarket Parts sales volume and achieving annual operating sales plans and objectives through channel accounts. The Sales Account Manager is responsible for all functions related to developing and maintaining Parts customer relationships to ensure maximum revenues through account penetration - this includes finding, generating and developing new channel partners and retaining current customers in order to sell the company’s products to end-users. He/She represents the Frick Aftermarket Parts business as subject matter expert to manage channel conflicts, offer new products and solutions and improve the channel partner’s customer experience. Operates with the highest business ethics and integrity.

External/Internal Relationships: The Frick Aftermarket Parts Sales Account Manager is responsible for delivering the parts revenue and margin plans for assigned channel accounts. He/She will need to establish and sustain important external relationships with key channel personnel and key executives in the channel account in the following ways:

  • Activity involved in industry associations.

  • Participating in industry, customer, and product trade shows.

  • Works with the Product Distribution NA equipment Account Management Team to achieve annual operating objectives for parts revenue and margin objectives.

  • Works with the channel account managers to obtain annual volume and growth objective for the aftermarket parts business and implement strategic programs regarding pricing, sales promotions, marketing programs, new product offerings, tools and applications.

  • Works with the aftermarket parts product management organization to provide feedback for product and feature enhancements, customer requirements. Provides competitive analysis of local marketplace and obtains assistance for technical expertise, sales assistance and market development activities.

How you will do it

  • Assists channel partners in selling and promoting JCI Frick aftermarket parts offerings to reach optimal sales and profit levels. Responsible for meeting assigned sales goals and objectives.

  • Differentiates and leverages Johnson Controls product offerings from competitors based on the total benefit of doing business with Johnson Controls.

  • Actively listens, probes and identifies concerns and actions accordingly. Astute business acumen and communicates effectively with channel partners.

  • Develops credibility, loyalty, trust and commitment. Manages ongoing sales process and responds to and anticipates customer needs.

  • Using account management principles conducts quarterly strategic account review sessions, semi-annually prepares and conducts “joint team meetings” for assigned JCI team members along with identified key players in the strategic account. Builds and fosters team relationships to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Manages channel conflict between distribution channels where necessary. Acts as the liaison for Johnson Controls Frick aftermarket parts to the channel partner regarding parts product support, promoting new products offerings, conquesting targeted part categories, works with marketing to develop and action marketing campaigns, and provides channel partners access to vendor training where required.

  • Frequently rationalizes the current key and targeted customer portfolio, ensuring resources are focused on those customers with growth potential.

  • Attends sales meetings and reports sales activity, new account development, and searches out new channel sales partner opportunities.

  • Possesses knowledge of the product lines to create awareness and demand for products with existing and potential customers.

What we look for

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing, or equivalent sales and technical experience.

  • Minimum of six year’s progressive, direct sales experience, preferably in Refrigeration or the Oil and Gas industry with demonstrated track record of success.

  • Technical knowledge of Refrigeration or Chemical and Petroleum Processing systems is highly preferred.

  • Able to relate to people at all levels, communicating both on a technical and non-technical basis.

  • Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

  • Possesses excellent presentation skills and proficiency at making one on one and group presentations.

  • Able to travel a minimum of 50%.

  • Advanced level skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint).

  • Microsoft Project a plus.
