Sr. Performance Governance Manager, Growth Marketing

San Mateo, CA or London / Hybrid

The PlayStation Store & Services Marketing team is responsible for marketing our flagship PlayStation Plus subscription service, and PlayStation’s multi-billion-dollar D2C businesses (PlayStation Store and PlayStation Direct).

This role is a pivotal role in the team accountable for the strategic implementation of performance focused marketing, dedicated to supporting profitable business growth & successful customer outcomes by harvesting incremental demand & driving recurring relationships

Responsibilities: 

  • Support the overarching commercial objectives of the Store & Services business units by helping to define/implement a marketing strategy which maximizes player LTV & Operating Profit that is aligned for other vertical marketing objectives
  • Act as the steward for operational and planning governance, making sure there are clear processes in place to facilitate integrated planning across multiple teams and functions
  • Work with vertical & horizontal marketing teams to ensure there is holistic planning of activity (across portfolio & vertical).
  • Maximize impact of marketing activity by identifying areas of potential harmony between marketing functions and working with those teams to take advantage of the potential opportunities
  • Work with territory marketing teams, to spot and act on demand opportunities within individual markets to improve growth
  • Interrogate performance data at a product and market level to find opportunities to drive incremental growth or operational efficiencies
  • Lead the cross functional annual/quarterly/monthly planning process between commercial vertical teams and horizontal activation teams, ensuring activity and initiatives are prioritized to achieve business goals
  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with cross functional partners
  • Build playbooks and frameworks for operating best practices for planning and optimization. Ensure these toolkits are continuously improved to adapt to business needs and changes

Qualifications: 

  • 8+ years in performance or growth marketing roles
  • A history of successfully operating in sophisticated global organizations and being able to influence growth
  • Have worked in coordination or planning roles
  • Experience in the gaming or entertainment industry
  • Strong collaboration and relationship skills
