About the Role

We’re looking for a Junior Lift Engineer to join our Engineering Department. This is an ideal opportunity for a graduate or someone with 1–2 years of experience who is eager to learn, train, and upskill.

You’ll play a key role in delivering safe and efficient lifting solutions across major projects, because at Freo Group, we lift the weight off your shoulders safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with lift studies, transport drawings, method statements, and crane comparisons.
• Prepare spreadsheets to support calculations for lift studies and transport drawings.
• Develop dynamic 3D blocks for newly purchased cranes and rigging equipment.
• Respond to technical queries during incident investigations.
• Modify designs for available equipment.
• Provide crane comparisons and recommendations for capital expenditure.

What We’re Looking For

• A degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• Experience in the crane and rigging industry or similar mining/heavy civil/mechanical projects.
• Current Driver’s License.
• Ability to plan, perform calculations, and develop lift plans.
