What you'll do

As a Solution Architect, you’ll be collaborating with Wealth Enterprise Architecture, API, Core Platforms, Security and Natwest Group CRM Centre of Excellence enterprise, along with the Wealth CRM platforms team to architect and deliver solutions leveraging Microsoft D365 as the new CRM in Wealth, integrated with existing Wealth technology stack.

You’ll be supporting the growth of architecting capability, of the solution and its interfaces, validating technology assumptions, evaluating implementation alternatives, and supporting the functional consultants and CRM engineers with lower level solution design. You’ll also support a pipeline of features and improvements to allow frequent and incremental delivery of end-user value whilst leveraging Microsoft latest innovations and contributing to the development of architecture skills across the team by sharing knowledge, best practices, lessons learned, and mentoring others.

As well as this, you’ll be:

• Leading on the development of High-Level Solution Designs (HLSD), interacting with Wealth Enterprise Architects, Security, Infrastructure, API and Data colleagues 
• Owning the technical design issues and driving resolution through the iteration of the technical solution design
• Leading the activities to shape requirements, validating designs and prototypes to deliver change that aligns with the target architecture 
• Promoting adaptive design practices to drive collaboration of feature teams around a common technical vision using continuous feedback 

The skills you'll need

To take on this role, you’ll need practitioner knowledge of solution architecture frameworks, modern technologies such as Cloud, microservices and AI, agile architecture and DevOps practices, including a deep understanding of business use cases and emerging trends that drive organisational success. You’ll also need expertise in Dynamics 365 CE & Power Platform, deep knowledge of Dataverse, model-driven apps, and integration patterns across the Microsoft ecosystem. 

You’ll bring practitioner experience of defining and developing strategic solution architectures that align with organisational objectives. This will include experience of engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership across the organisation to define architectures that deliver tangible business outcomes.

You’ll also demonstrate experience of:

• Proven ability to define HLSDs and application architectures across all layers of the technical stack, including cloud-native and hybrid environments, ability to present solutions and designs in architecture governance boards
• Knowledge and experience with microservices architecture, Azure services, DevOps practices, and enterprise integration patterns
• Collaborative decision-making processes, partnering with business and technology colleagues to articulate and evolve architectural direction
• Creating business cases to influence senior stakeholders to secure investment for architecture initiatives
• Participating in overseeing and assuring the quality of architecture designs, with a focus on risk management and governance
• Supporting architecture and design reviews to validate that solutions meet business needs and comply with architecture standards
