Internship conversion position for the Enterprise Application Department of the Information Systems and Cyber Division.  This position will be located in El Segundo, CA.   

Work Model: 

This position will be located 100% onsite in El Segundo, CA

What You’ll Be Doing   

  • Support industry leading scientists and engineers in the development of maintainable cloud native and stand-alone data visualization applications as well as the development backend service-oriented architecture components

  • Provide technical support in application architecture and development, continuous integration and continuous deployment, middleware development, and software interface development for laboratory equipment

  • Work with subject matter experts and scientists to develop laboratory applications which enable modeling and simulations of space capabilities

  • Interface with a wide variety of Engineering and Technology Group (ETG), launch, satellite, and other program office customers

  • Duties, responsibilities and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned as needed  

  • Training and mentorship will be provided

What You Need to be Successful 

Minimum Requirements:  

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college/university program and to be conferred within 12 months.

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0  

  • Prior internship at The Aerospace Corporation   

  • Ability to work both independently, and cooperatively within a team

  • Experience coding in C++ or Java, Python

  • Proficiency in REACT/MEAN

  • Experience with Unix/Linux environments

  • Work experience supporting laboratories with software infrastructure and application development

  • This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

How You Can Stand Out 

It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:   

  • Active security clearance  

  • GPA of 3.5 or higher 

  • Demonstrated self-motivation and willingness to take initiative strongly preferred

  • Experience with networking

  • Experience in distributed and parallel systems

  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment

We offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business.  The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below.  Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.

$85,000 - $95,000

Pay Basis: Annual
