Daikin Applied is seeking a Divisional Operations Manager supporting the West Division. The goal of this newly added position is to create optimum efficiency and economy, personally and through district teams regarding activities related to finance and operations of the Daikin Applied Service Division. Work closely with the Division leadership team, cross functional teams, as well as Branch or District Managers in coordinating project management, project costing and order management functions.
Location: Remote position within the West Division with ability to travel as needed to Daikin’s Service Offices in Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, New Orleans, Denver, San Francisco, Seattle, and Vancouver.
What you will do:
- Plans, develops and implements operational and financial policies and goals.
- Provides financial reports on an established schedule, including but not limited to: monthly P&L, margin efficiency, technician utilization, shipments, manpower backlog summary.
- Coordinates activities of departments to establish documented standards and processes, controls, budgets and the hiring and training of personnel. Shares “Best Practices” among the districts and other divisions.
- Ensures all established processes are met.
- Coordinates activities with all other functions of the organization and vendors, including review and implementation of process and system improvements, to obtain optimum delivery to our customers.
- Reviews operation reports and dashboards to determine continuous improvement, as well as identification and resolution of operational problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
- Manages third party software changes, upgrades and implementation and coordinates integration into the Oracle System.
- Determines responsibilities of assigned staff positions to accomplish business objectives.
- Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government and customer policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Provides division leadership on product Quality Assurance (QA) programs
- Provides leadership to division operations team (Division Tech Advisor, and Division Project Manager)
- Monitor compliance and participation with all safety programs within the division. Coach for improvement. Attend all incident follow-up meetings. Communicate all safety issues to division VP.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience considered.
- 6+ years work experience including operations in HVAC. Adjacent industry considered.
- 4+ years people leadership experience.
- Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

The typical salary for this position ranges from $117,000 – $166,000 on a national scale + a 1 bonus incentive plan. The range displayed represents a pay range for positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
