The Actuarial Analyst for CGAAP Valuation and LICAT is responsible for supporting Canadian reporting processes, including IFRS 17 modelling and capital reporting under LICAT.

Responsibilities

CGAAP Valuation:   

• IFRS17 liability modelling, including new product set-up and assumption changes.
• Perform all the control checks on results from IFRS17 models.
• Prepare reports for the non-model related IFRS17 liabilities such as Group and IBNR.
• Perform User-Acceptance Testing in the valuation extract for new product.

LICAT

• Provide support on the Life Capital Adequacy Testing (LICAT) submission.

Ad-hoc projects depending on business needs such as but not limited to:

• Assist in the completion of the semi-annual business plan projections.
• Perform liability AXIS runs as instructed by the Actuarial Manager

Qualifications

• University degree with a strong mathematical or statistical background.
• 1-2 years of actuarial-related experience preferred; fresh graduates are welcome to apply
• Knowledge and experience in handling actuarial modeling software, preferably AXIS
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
