Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (SCIB) Benelux is seeking a motivated Analyst to join its Investment Banking team in Amsterdam. This position is driven by the continued growth of our franchise across the Benelux region and offers the opportunity to support a diverse client base across the Benelux region, including corporates, financial sponsors, and high-growth companies, in delivering strategic advice and financing solutions.

As an Analyst, you will contribute to both transaction execution and ongoing client engagement. Working closely with senior bankers, as well as industry and product specialists, you will support the delivery of tailored solutions across mergers and acquisitions, as well as equity and debt financing.

This role provides broad exposure to a wide range of clients and emphasizes teamwork, continuous development, and long-term value creation. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:

• Support the execution of advisory and financing transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, capital markets activities, and other strategic initiatives

• Perform financial analysis and valuation work to support client recommendations

• Prepare high-quality client materials, including presentations, briefing notes, and transaction documentation

• Assist in managing transaction processes and coordinating with clients, advisors, and internal stakeholders

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of client relationships through consistent, high-quality delivery

• Conduct market and industry research to support strategic dialogue and idea generation

Professional Experience

• Relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or a comparable environment

Education

• Economics, Business Administration degree, engineering or similar. Desirable MBA or MSc in Finance or similar

• Master’s degree in any discipline, with demonstrated interest in finance and strong analytical capabilities

Languages

• Fluency in English; Dutch language skills are considered an advantage

Hard Skills

• Strong analytical skills, with a solid foundation in accounting and valuation methodologies

• Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

Soft Skills

• Team-oriented mindset with a proactive and responsible approach to work
