The Role

Driven mainly by the hyperscale sector, and more recently by investments in AI, we are seeing huge growth in the Data Centre (DC) sector across Europe, growth which is forecast to continue for the foreseeable future. Thanks to our continued significant investment in the development of European fibre networks, euNetworks is a leader in DC to DC connectivity, both with hyperscale, content and wholesale customers and also serving the DCs themselves.  

We are looking for a senior sales person to join our team to take advantage of this exciting opportunity in the dynamic DC sector.

Reporting to the Sales Director, Content & Major Accounts, you will focus on developing our business with both the well-established DC players and also the private-equity backed new entrants to the market. Working in an experienced team, you will interface with investors, DC builders, DC operators and end customers, plus established DC market leaders, and will have the opportunity to help plan and sell multi-million euro fibre networks. You will work across various European markets, particularly France and the UK, hitting sales and revenue targets, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. 

You will have the support of our excellent Sales Engineering team, with multiple engineers, plus additional account support, available for these accounts. You will work closely with our Network Development, Digital Enablement and Product teams in order to achieve your goals, and have the opportunity to form multiple, strong relationships within the customers.

Preferred locations is London, with domestic and occasional international travel as required.

What will you be doing?

  • Work with the Sales Director to replicate some of the successes we have had in the DC sector in the UK and Germany to the rest of Europe, particularly France.
  • Hone a knowledge of how to speak to investors, DC builders and operators, and end customers, understanding the various needs and requirements in this ecosystem.
  • Build on existing strong relationships with key purchasers and influencers within certain DC customers in order to expand direct infrastructure and service sales to the DCs.
  • Understand how the DCs are evolving, ensuring euNetworks develops network, solutions and a Joint Value Proposition to match.
  • Work with our commercial and finance teams to build successful business cases.
  • Work with the Sales Director to further boost digital enablement and integration.
  • Effectively and efficiently manage sales activity through Salesforce.com, paying particular attention to data integrity.

 What do we want from you? 

  • Significant years sales experience including significant time in relevant telecoms/DC/bandwidth infrastructure
  • An entrepreneurial mindset to approach challenges with new thinking, ownership and drive.
  • A track record of achievement in terms of customer satisfaction and hitting financial targets.
  • Experience managing accounts in the DC provider space.
  • Experience effectively and successfully leading virtual teams.
  • Effective communication skills with customers, colleagues and partners.
  • Fluent written and spoken  English language skills are essential, including excellent negotiation skills. Other languages are a bonus.
  • Great organisation and attention to detail.
  • Self-starter, with enthusiasm for building multiple relationships with our customers.
  • Good overview of the European business telecoms market, particularly in terms of DC requirements.

Ideally, we’d also like:

  • University degree in engineering (preferably electronic or similar), Apprenticeship or equivalent vocational qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of DC ecosystems, including latest developments
  • Experience successfully setting up and running an indirect sales channel
