Job Description

This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best in class software experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining products
  • Design, manage, and plan core infrastructure services with a focus on building, operating, and delivering scalable cloud-native systems.
  • Automate and provision infrastructure through scripting and cloud services in distributed environments.
  • Write production-ready code for infrastructure use cases in on-prem/cloud environments, infrastructure services, product roadmap features, and resiliency efforts.
  • Ensure best practices are followed when working with integrations across infrastructure, adhering to agreed patterns, and standards while ensuring API alignment with overall architecture.
  • Implement and maintain robust AWS security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
  • Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with the latest AWS security best practices and standards.
  • Manage IAM roles and policies, ensuring least privilege access and adherence to the principle of segregation of duties.
  • Develop and enforce security protocols for cloud-based applications and services.
  • Collaborate with the security team to develop disaster recovery plans and respond to security incidents.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Six to eight years of relevant experience

Preferred Skills/Experience
- Adept with agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles
  • Proficient in programming and design (Java/ Springboot)
  • Experienced in operating in a multi-cloud environment, system engineering, and software development catering to diverse customer needs and requirements.
  • Knowledgeable in AWS security fundamentals, including access control, management, governance, logging, and encryption methods.
  • Familiar with AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) for authentication and authorization.
  • Expertise in AWS security services such as AWS Shield, AWS WAF, and AWS Key Management Service (KMS).
  • Experience with security compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and PCI DSS.
  • Ability to conduct vulnerability assessments and risk analysis.
  • Proven track record of delivering scalable cloud-native systems.
  • Experience in automating and provisioning infrastructure in distributed environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to write production-ready code and manage integrations across infrastructure.
  • Experience in implementing AWS security best practices and responding to security incidents.

Location Expectations

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $129,455.00 - $152,300.00 - $167,530.00
