POSITION SUMMARY

 The Yield Accountant is responsible for accounting activities related to tracking refinery shipments, receipts, company use, and inventories. This position is responsible for creating weekly and monthly refinery production statements.  A motivated individual with strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills is essential.

 KEY RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Participate in monthly closeout activities
  • Record inventory, shipment, and receipt transactions accurately and on time
  • Maintain a weight balance within the SOX control thresholds
  • Complete all tank inventory adjustments per the guidelines
  • Build/maintain strong relationships with refinery personnel
  • Work closely with Operations Accounting to ensure yield transactions are captured accurately in RightAngle
  • Support refinery reporting needs
  • Assist auditors during reviews
  • Identify and assist the implementation of process improvement ideas
  • Complete other duties including special projects as required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, finance or related field required. Accounting preferred.
  • 2 years of Accounting or related experience 
  • Refinery experience preferred
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Previous RightAngle experience is preferred
