Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Management:

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure required for software development and deployment. 
• Managing cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and on-premise resources. 
• Automating infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. 
• Ensuring infrastructure is secure, scalable, and cost-effective. 

CI/CD Pipeline Management:

• Building and maintaining continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate the software release process. 
• Automating code testing, building, and deployment processes. 
• Ensuring code quality and security throughout the pipeline. 

Automation:

• Automating repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention. 
• Developing scripts and tools to automate various aspects of the software development lifecycle. 

Monitoring and Performance Optimization:

• Monitoring system performance and identifying potential issues. 
• Troubleshooting and resolving production errors and performance bottlenecks. 
• Optimizing system performance and resource utilization. 

Collaboration and Communication:

• Working closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth collaboration and efficient software delivery. 
• Facilitating communication and knowledge sharing between teams. 

Security:

• Implementing security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle. 
• Ensuring that systems and applications are secure and compliant with relevant regulations. 

Essential skills:

• Solid understanding of SDLC
• 1+ years of DevOps and/or Cloud Development
• Experience with Node, c#.net, python, or java languages
• Experience with Jenkins pipelines, Azure DevOps or AWS Code Pipeline. GitLab, GitHub
• Experience with serverless technologies in cloud environments
• Experience with Json, SOAP
• Version Control/Git/SVN/Bitbucket
• Experience building, testing, securing, exposing and consuming API’s
• Experience in Agile development methodologies
• Experience with Artifact Management tools
• Understanding of Containers
• Understanding of YAML files

 

Desirable skills of interest:

• Windows and Linux
• Experience with docker, kubernetes, docker swarm
• Strong grasp of IT security protocols, processes and best practices
• Understanding of maven or nuget package management
• Understanding of Angular, Vue and React frameworks
• Understanding of Oauth and/or Saml authentication
• ALM/Atlassian/Jira
