Within our Private Investment Portfolios & Co-Investment (“PIPCO”) business, the Global Investment Solutions & Strategy team is responsible for building best practices and delivering our Private Markets capabilities in forms that meet clients’ unique needs and objectives. The team is responsible for the investment management of numerous commingled and custom investment vehicles (or “Funds”), which may include fund investments (primary and secondary basis) and direct investments. The team is focused on developing products and/or structures that are created with a specific client type in mind (from Retail / Intermediary to Institutions). Additionally, the team serves as an internal counterpoint for many of the NB Firm Resources, including the Insurance Solutions team, Multi-Asset Class Investing team and ESG Investing team, working together with these groups on thought leadership, the extension of NB Private Markets capabilities into multi-asset class portfolios, leadership within ESG / Impact investing, and the refinement of portfolio analytical capabilities (i.e. stochastic model, SAA analysis, etc.). Lastly, in addition to new product development, the team identifies, analyzes and executes on strategic initiatives for NB Private Markets.

Responsibilities covered by this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Daily support of Investment Solutions & Strategy team in all aspects of the team’s responsibilities (listed above), as needed

    • Day to day support of certain commingled and custom investment vehicles, interacting with clients and responding to follow-up requests

    • Extensive modeling / analytics required

  • Coordination among Investment Solutions & Strategy team, Marketing, Reporting, Finance / Operations for new products and servicing current commingled or custom investment vehicles

    • Working with Marketing to build customized proposals and collateral for new and existing vehicles

    • Follow-ups for new and existing vehicles

  • Working with Product Management team to ensure that the Investment Solutions & Strategy team receives the appropriate investment tracking / cash management data needed to support the investment management of certain evergreen funds

Experience and Skills Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in economics, business, finance, or similar

  • 2 - 4 years of relevant professional experience (i.e., marketing, private equity, investment banking, finance, accounting, operations)

  • Excellent academic credentials

  • Resourcefulness and proactive, ability to multi-task, team-player attitude and a desire to work on a wide range of projects and manage them effectively

  • Strong project management and organizational skills

  • Remarkable attention to detail

  • Strong judgment, maturity and critical thinking skills

  • Excellent communication, and ability to articulate and present ideas effectively both orally and in written form

  • Initiative and creativity in approach to problem solving and to be resourceful

  • Exhibits strong dedication to the job and takes ownership of deliverables

  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to learn fast

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $120,000-$150,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
