Del Mar Heights Veterinary Hospital is a long-standing general practice hospital with deep ties to the community, located in beautiful Del Mar, California. Our goal is to provide excellent care for pet families for many years to come.

Del Mar Heights Veterinary Hospital is looking for an experienced veterinary assistant. The ideal candidate would be compassionate towards our patients and clients. Be confident in rooming patients, assisting in surgery, monitoring surgery patients, surgical recovery, drawing blood and running bloodwork, placing IV catheters, knowledge of x-ray and proper positioning, experience with in-clinic laboratory equipment, comfortable with proper animal handling and restraint, understanding the importance of client education and is a positive and supportive team player. A positive and motivating attitude is a must. Requirements: 

• 2+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment 
• Passion for working with animals and their owners 
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint 
• Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
