Senior Software Engineer F/T
Overview
Conduct comprehensive requirement gathering, analysis, and understanding during the initial phase of the project to support the development of new products.
Role.
• Lead end-to-end development of scalable software solutions utilizing Hadoop, Hive, Qlik Sense, and RESTful APIs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and Mastercard’s technical standards.
• Assess data availability across various stages of the data pipeline and designed optimized, scalable solutions for data extraction and transformation.
• Develop customer-specific data segmentation QVDs to enable faster data access, parallel processing, and scalable architecture.
• Create comprehensive documentation including dashboard design specifications, solution architecture, user guides, and software development guidelines to support maintenance and scalability.
• Design and execute unit, integration, and functional test cases for APIs and backend systems to ensure seamless integration of new features and resolution of existing issues.
• Build and maintain Qlik Sense dashboards with automated refresh and publishing via Qlik CLI; integrate dashboards with enterprise apps using JavaScript and Qlik APIs.
• Utilize Bitbucket for version control to manage and maintain codebase effectively.
• Manage Hive-based Hadoop jobs, supporting routine data refreshes and code updates using Hive, HBase, SQL, and Splunk to ensure consistent data availability and operational reliability.
• Integrated Qlik dashboards with the MC TFC application using JavaScript and the Qlik Capability API, enhancing the user interface and streamlining user interaction across platforms.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (Jira, Rally), mentor junior developers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
About You
• Position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related and Seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in job offered or as a Software Developer, Qlik Developer, Software Engineer, Programmer Analyst, System Test Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineer, or related. Must include at least one (1) year with each of the following: PL/SQL; QlikSense; Powershell; Angular; Data Modeling; APIs; BitBucket; Jenkins; Hive; Hadoop; Spark; Jira; Rally.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay Ranges
O'Fallon, Missouri: $115,000 - $184,000 USD
