Foundation Risk Partners, one of the fastest growing insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the US, is adding an Ancillary Account Manager to The Westport Group team in Braintree, MA.

Job Summary:

The Account Manager will oversee the on-going service and administration of TWG’s ancillary product lines including Multi-life Life products (GUL and GVUL), Multi-life individual disability Income Insurance (IDI) and traditional IDI policies. The goal of this position is to manage the client experience which includes interaction at the client, broker, carrier and insured levels. The incumbent should have experience with new business processing for group life products and familiarity with multi-life IDI GSI and fully underwritten application processes. Strong organizational and communication skills are paramount along with the ability to translate customer needs into executable solutions with an emphasis on quality control.

Essential Functions:

  • Support the annual renewal enrollment experience for inforce accounts.
    • This includes application follow-up, underwriting coordination, and requirement procurement.
  • Accountable for the on-going administration needs of ancillary product lines in the multi-life GUL and GVUL and IDI space.
  • Primary point of contact for clients, brokers, carriers, and insureds.
  • Off-cycle administration including terminations and plan additions.
  • Invoice coordination.
  • Manage client database.
  • Carrier interface.
  • Recommend and execute strategies to introduce efficiencies and support the overall client experience. This includes the development and implementation of workflows.
  • Establish and manage to Quality Control Procedures.
  • Execute problem resolution as needed.
  • Special projects/additional duties as assigned.

Competencies & Qualifications: 

  • New business processing for life and IDI applications.
  • Ability to manage accounts with limited oversight. Independent worker; self-starter.
  • Ability to manage client expectations in alignment with carrier processes/procedures.
  • Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and manage competing deliverables and timeline.
  • Microsoft Office skills including Excel knowledge to support data reconciliation needs.
  • Ability to establish and follow protocol to ensure quality standards.
  • Proactive problem solver with the ability to adapt to the needs of the client.
  • Embraces flexibility of duties.

Education & Experience:

  • 3+ years account management experience in the employee benefits arena.
    • Experience with life products on a multi-life platform.
    • Experience with IDI products on a multi-life platform. (Preferred but not required)
  • 3+ years life new business processing experience.
