Responsibilities: 

  • Develop new relationships with prospects and markets and maintain ongoing contact at a senior level 

  • Work with account management support during placement process to ensure quality submissions and presentations are prepared 

  • Work with actuarial team to determine appropriate (re)insurance needs and communicate solutions effectively to clients and prospects 

  • Negotiate with markets during the quotation and placement process of direct, facultative, and coverholder deals. 

  • Work with contracts department to prepare contracts and coverholder agreements. 

  • Represent Acrisure at client meetings, presentations, audits with (re)insurers, and other events as appropriate 

  • Maintain ongoing relationships with clients and insurance markets 

  • Work with account management, internal Claims, Operations and Finance departments to ensure administration of accounts is going smoothly and help resolve issues that require broker assistance. 

  • Adherence to Company compliance and departmental procedures, including file management and documentation and placement process.

Experience required: 

  • Marine market experience 

  • Significant broking experience in a similar role 

  • Dedicated and a collaborative team member. 

  • Proactive and execution oriented, taking initiative to start and complete new tasks. 

  • Takes ownership and responsibility for quality, completeness and accuracy of work. 

  • Knowledge of direct, facultative and binding authority business preferable 

  • Demonstrates a high level of technical ability and has the ability to work alongside actuaries and interpret actuarial results. 

  • Has a strong appreciation and understanding of current issues affecting the Maritime industry.
