Key Responsibilities:

Business Analysis (BA)

  • Gather, document, and validate business requirements through interviews, workshops, and process analysis.
  • Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for development teams.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA, PMs, and stakeholders to ensure clear scope and alignment.
  • Assist in defining project objectives, costs, and deliverables.
  • Create and maintain business/technical documentation.
  • Participate in change management, training, and adoption activities.
  • Monitor post-implementation performance and collect feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Champion the use of AI for efficiencies in requirements gathering, documentation, and analysis.

Data Conversion

  • Design, test, and execute ETL (extract, transform, load) processes for data migrations.
  • Apply strong SQL and scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell) for data manipulation.
  • Map legacy system data to new application formats with precision.
  • Perform data cleansing, validation, and normalization to ensure migration quality.
  • Document conversion logic, mappings, counts, and processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies quickly.
  • Recommend and implement automation and AI-driven improvements for conversion processes.

Project Management (PM)

  • Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring alignment with goals and timelines.
  • Track progress against milestones and deadlines, escalating risks when needed.
  • Prepare and deliver project status reports, presentations, and documentation.
  • Facilitate effective communication between stakeholders, sponsors, and technical teams.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Manage third-party vendor and contractor relationships.
  • Leverage AI tools and automation to drive efficiency in project tracking and reporting.

Sales & Customer Support

  • Support the sales team by conducting product demonstrations as needed.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for prospective clients on solution capabilities.
  • Contribute to proposals, RFP responses, and client workshops when required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong project management skills
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills—able to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable presenting and demoing software to clients.
  • Curious, adaptable, and proactive with a willingness to step outside traditional BA responsibilities.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools for analysis, reporting, or automation is a strong plus.
  • Nice to have:  Familiarity with local government operations or enterprise software (preferred).
