PRIMARY FUNCTION: 

Under the direction of the Vending Stand Lead, Supervisor, and Manager, Hawkers are responsible for selling food and beverage items in the stadium seating area.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reports for scheduled events on time, in proper uniform, with a neat and clean personal appearance.

  • Must always maintain a friendly, positive attitude and a professional demeanor.

  • Follows proper procedures for obtaining sales products in the vending rooms.

  • Circulates among guests, calling out and merchandising items for sale.

  • Hands or passes items to guest, receives payment, and completes transaction accurately.

  • Ends transactions in a positive way, such as “Thank You” or “Enjoy the Game.”

  • Verifies count on new loads.

  • Keeps work area and equipment neat and clean.

  • Performs and completes tasks assigned by management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • No experience necessary; orientation and on-the-job training are provided.

  • Must be able to work with others as a team.

  • Must be pleasant, courteous, and enjoy working with people.

  • Must be able to remain calm in stressful situations.

  • Must be able to smile, maintain positive body language, and consistently provide positive guest service.

  • Must be able to make generalizations, evaluations, and decisions without immediate supervision.

  • Must be flexible to work extended hours due to business requirements, including late nights, weekends, and holidays.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Must be able to obtain CA Food Handlers Certification

  • Must be able to obtain RBS (alcohol) Certification

  • Ability to work all Venue events including extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Must be able to work at a fast pace

  • Must be able to walk up and down stairs, holding weight up to 50 lbs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Constant standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting, reaching, climbing stairs, and repetitive motions. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. up and down stairs.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

COMPENSATION:

Commission, based on net sales or hourly wage, whichever is greater.
