The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, enhancing, and executing test plans, test scripts and test methodologies to ensure thorough testing takes place for meeting all designated software specifications and compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform various types of application testing such as manual and regression using our testing tools through comprehensive test scenarios.  

  • Developing automated and manual test cases to ensure that software meets development, usability, functional, and security standards and additionally meets defined requirements for the software.   

  • Examine and document all testing results and assist in identifying reasons why actual results do not match expected testing results.  

  • Maintaining Azure DevOps to ensure all requirements, tests and defects are up to date regarding specific application needs.  

  • Provide Level 3 Support for assigned applications.    

  • Create a Project Test Plan and conduct a Test Plan walkthrough for the project team and/or stakeholders.    

  • Attend Project/Team meetings and contribute feedback based on testing results and the status of project deliverables.  

  • Assist in setting up and executing UAT testing.   

  • Other duties as assigned  

 

Required Qualifications:

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field or relevant, equivalent experience  (required)

Special Requirements Specific to the Job     

  • High level of attention to detail. (required)

  • Well organized and disciplined in following processes. (required)

  • Works well both independently and in a team environment. (required)

  • Good written and verbal communication skills. (required)

Experience

  • Has worked as part of a development team (required)

  • 2 to 5 years of QA experience or related work experience (preferred)

 

Other Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Quality Assurance processes for software application testing.

  • Knowledge of designated testing tool suite such as Azure DevOps.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. 

  • Experience with Agile Methodologies.   

  • SDLC Knowledge

  • Basic SQL knowledge. 

  • Experience testing APIs. 

  • Experience with Software Test Automation. 

  • Experience testing Enterprise Service Bus

  • Experience with integration testing

  • Understanding of basic Accounting or Business processes. 

  • Ability to learn and keep up with new technologies and take the initiative to do this without prompting. 

  • Experience with Workday Finance Workstreams, Integrations, BIRT Layouts and Report Writer
