Graco is looking for a Technical Architect to join our Commercial Applications Team. In this position, you will play a lead role in the development, design, documentation, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of web sites, web applications, and web services. The individual will provide technical leadership and informed decision-making and can work as part of a cross-functional team of subject matter experts, product owners, business analysts and developers in an Agile environment. This position will work with innovative teams with the sole purpose of developing and supporting cutting edge solutions that will shape and influence the customer experience of Graco.
What You Will Do at Graco
Architect and design software that is simple to use, extensible and scalable.
Build high-quality, clean, scalable, performant, and reusable code by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (Code Reviews, Unit testing, etc.).
Build and maintain Full stack web applications following architectural best practices and coding standards.
Advocate best practices for User Experience of web applications
Work with the product owners to understand detailed requirements and own your code from design, implementation, test automation and delivery of high-quality product to our users.
Contribute to the design and implementation of new products and features while also enhancing the existing product suite.
Be a mentor for colleagues and help promote knowledge-sharing.
Provide after-hours on-call support as needed.

What You Will Bring to Graco
BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or related practical experience.
8+ years of experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions.
Proven experience in programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, JavaScript/TypeScript.
Experience with any of the modern UI frameworks like React
Passion for product and code quality, and familiarity with current trends and best practices.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, common deployment models and infrastructure, and various types of A/B experimentation used to safely introduce change into production environments.
Experience designing and building applications infrastructure, understanding application validation, and debugging methodologies at scale.
Understanding of cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
Accelerators
Proficiency in developing Microservices.
Proven experience with React
Data storage, caching and optimization (NoSQL databases, Redis, PostgreSQL, etc.).
Proficiency in developing and deploying cloud native applications with Docker and Kubernetes (K8s).
Inter-service messaging and streams discovery (SQS,Pub/Sub Kafka, etc.).
