Structural Repair Engineer (Associate, Mid-Level, or Senior)

Boeing Technology Innovation (BTI) looking for a Structural Repair Engineer (Associate, Mid-Level, or Senior) based out of North Charleston, South Carolina.

Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including associate, mid-level and senior level engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of cross functional projects - Including test plan development, budget and schedule creation and management, coordination with external customers

  • Support production with existing repair process/ technology and transition technology improvements to production.

  • Present project results and technologies to internal and external groups

  • Strong track record of mentoring, employee development, and knowledge sharing

  • Develop/improve the processes and materials used in the repair of composite and metallic aircraft structure.

  • Provide technical support for repairs occurring in service.

  • Guide future vision for structural repair technology research and development.

  • Perform structural testing to develop allowables for repairs, and assess the impact of process changes on structural capability.

  • CRDA and SIBR knowledge and experience preferred.

  • Desire to perform hands on Lab work, Fabrication of composites, traditional and experimental repair of composites, Assembly of large scale demonstrators.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry

  • 2+ years of experience with composite materials and processes

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (level 3)

  • 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (level 4)

  • Experience with composite repair

  • Experience with mentoring, employee development, and knowledge sharing

  • Aircraft production engineering experience

  • Desire to perform hands on composite fabrication and repair development lab work

  • Catia experience

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range for associate (level 2): $77,350 - $104,650

Summary pay range for mid-level (level 3): $95,200 - $128,800

Summary pay range for senior (level 4): $116,450 - $157,550
