Job Description Summary
Construction sites don’t run safely by accident – they’re shaped by the people who show up every day, spot the risk before they become incidents, and build a culture where safety is non-negotiable. At GE Vernova, we’re delivering energy infrastructure projects across Taiwan, and we need someone who takes ownership of that mission on the ground.
As our Lead EHS Specialist – Construction Projects, you’ll be the primary Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) contact for GE Vernova construction projects in Taiwan. You’ll drive site safety execution, ensure regulatory compliance, and make a tangible impact on how safely our teams and partners work – every single day.
Job Description
What You’ll Do
- Own project-level EHS delivery – serve as the go-to EHS contact for assigned construction projects, managing site EHS plans, environmental management plans, emergency response plans, and the traffic management plants from preparation through to maintenance.
- Drive compliance and risk management – ensure Taiwan Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) legal and contractual EHS requirements are met; review and strengthen risk assessment, job safety analyses (JSAs), Permit to Work, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) programs on site.
- Conduct inspections and investigations – carry out regular site EHS audits and inspections, support incident investigations, drive corrective action closure, and prepare periodic EHS reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) for stakeholders.
- Build EHS capability – deliver coaching, leadership development, and intervention training to project team members; support the onboarding of new site EHS staff and maintain clear team responsibilities.
- Manage statutory compliance obligations – own and manage statutory EHS reporting submissions to Taiwan labor authorities and incident reporting to the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) and relevant regulators on behalf of the GE Vernova Global Services
