Program Management, individual contributor

  • Daily oversight of program related activities, including; data, tracking, reporting, payment processing and communication of all referral activities, as well as partnering with leaders to advise on referral programs, addressing and/or problem-solving issues related to policy, inquiries, escalations and payment (including Branch Investment Advisor reporting and selected Leads program)
  • Oversight and audit on Referral program to ensure alignment with policy and compliance.
  • Data management and integration of information from multiple sources (e.g. financial and operational systems) for analysis, insight and recommendations, along with enabling more efficient processes, enhanced analysis and/or streamlined reporting.
  • Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve referrals inquiries, issues and escalations.
  • Builds relationships and collaborative resources across functional and operating groups to create the highest value for all stakeholders.
  • Monitors and tracks performance and addresses any issues.  Understands program interdependences and demonstrates critical thinking that proactively identifies risks and opportunities.
  • Acts as a trusted financial advisor to assigned business/group and market leaders.
  • Influences and negotiates to achieve business objectives.
  • Employs systems (e.g. customized exception reports, tracking reports etc.) to manage information.
  • Assists in the development of strategic plans related to program evolution and execution
  • Identifies emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.
  • Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Investigates and problem-solves issues related to the internal (PW)/external (other LOB) Referral Programs.
  • Works independently and handles both routine and non-routine situations.
  • Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
  • Present and socialize program with various stakeholders.

Project Management, Change Management & Communications

  • Leads or provides guidance on the implementation, change plan and sustainment of projects related to compensation, technology, compliance, involving stakeholders across multiple lines of business
  • Leads and/or represents the project in project team meetings, governance forums and inter-department forums.
  • Helps determine business priorities and best sequence for execution
  • Understands the business/group and facilitates communication with other program/project managers and stakeholders efficiently and effectively.
  • Demonstrates ownership and commitment by holding themselves accountable for the identification and resolution of project problems.
  • Ensures change management plans are developed, socialized and consistently measured to deliver the expected project benefits and adoption.
  • Understands project interdependencies and demonstrates critical thinking that proactively identifies project risks and establishes effective risk mitigation from the outset.

Qualifications:

  • Typically, between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Private Wealth operating deep knowledge along with technical proficiency gained through extensive business experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of/in other LOBs (Commercial/Retail) HQ an asset.
  • Project management experience – 3 to 6 years.
  • Technology skills include MS applications (advanced Excel, working knowledge of SQL, PowerPoint proficiency
  • Able to apply project management methodologies or approaches and resolve project issues effectively
  • Valid PMP designation from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is an asset.
  • Able to navigates challenging situations effectively.

Salary:

$68,000.00 - $126,000.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
