The Job At-A-Glance: 

We are a multi-disciplinary team creating a net new product line for Q2. You will be the SRE responsible for setting up our bank-tough infrastructure, interfacing with the architecture team to make sure that we are using best practices and pipelines to keep our product compliant. 

 

A Typical Day:

  • Integrate the team that is building a new product line that may leveraging LLMs 

  • Support the definition of the architecture that needs to be SOC2 compliant and highly scalable to support demand 

  • To be the primary contributor of our IAC code that will be created using CDK with Typescript. We are leveraging several serverless components so IAC and code are tightly coupled 

  • Create our build and deployment pipelines in a full CI/CD paradigm 

  • Interface with the Cloud Architecture teams to make sure that our infrastructure keeps evolving with the market 

  • Maintaining standards for secure, highly available infrastructure 

In 30 days you will: 

  • Join the team and gather product context to be an efficient contributor 

  • Learn everything about our product that’s in flight 

  • Get your hands dirty with our infrastructure 

  • Work your first tickets with your onboarding buddy 

In 60 days you will:  

  • Begin to work independently on your tasks 

  • Make meaningful contributions to our code 

  • Build a good portion of our pipeline 

  • Contribute your fresh perspective to team patterns and processes 

Bring Your Passion, Do What You Love. Here’s What We’re Looking For:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience primarily with AWS, Typescript and CDK or equivalent 
  • 2+ years of professional experience with a public cloud provider (Azure, GCP, AWS) 
  • 2+ years of professional experience working with CI/CD pipelines on any platform (GitLab, TeamCity, Jenkins, Azure-Devops) 
  • Proficiency in one or more programming (e.g. C#, Java, Python, Typescript) and scripting (e.g. Bash, Python, Powershell) languages 
  • Empathy for the end user and a desire to measure your work by both the customer value and technical quality 
  • A bias for action tempered with thinking about the implications of the work you're doing 
  • Enthusiasm for the field and professional development/improvement outside the day-to-day job 
  • Strong preference for automating repetitive manual tasks 
  • 2+ years experience in a DevOps, Platform, or SRE role 
  • 2+ years experience with an Infrastructure as Code technology (Terraform or similar) 
  • 2+ years experience with Kubernetes or similar container orchestration technology 
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and dashboard technologies 
  • Experience leading cross-team projects and mentoring other engineers
