The Senior Automation Engineer (m/f/d) will support, improve and develop new and existing production floor equipment and automation. This includes requirements generation and consultation, development of global fixture standards, engineering change control and equipment qualification, validation, and installation. This role will also assist in designing and developing equipment with counterparts in Danvers, US facility.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure unbridled production through daily floor support including troubleshooting, repair and improvement of production fixtures, equipment, and tooling.
Support design of manual and semi-automated fixtures at various complexity levels to support production demand
Identification of improvements for existing fixtures and equipment to optimize manufacturing processes and uptime.
Develop global standards around user needs, requirements, qualification, calibration, maintenance, safety, spares and storage of production equipment, fixtures, and tooling.
Review equipment drawings for completeness; inclusive of ISO standards, GD&T, and tolerance analysis.
Initiation and management of improvement projects, including business case, schedule and budget development, resource estimation and daily progress management.
Support selection and development of fixtures, equipment and metrology with reproducibility and manufacturability in mind.
Support Manufacturing Engineering in IQ/OQ/PQ of new and existing equipment and fixtures.
Suggest PM requirements and changes to PM cycle for existing equipment
Generation of supporting documentation for equipment; work instructions, fixture specification, purchase specifications
Presentations on improvement concepts to key stake holders and cross-functional team members
Assist with ECO’s to support Manufacturing Engineering deployment of equipment to Production
Primary working hours Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
Job Qualifications:
BS or equivalent is required
Minimum of 5 years of related work experience desired
Knowledgeable in FDA, QSR, ISO, and cGMP requirements
Proficient in MS Office, Solidworks, SAP experience desired
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
Knowledgeable of ISO/ANSI drafting standards; GD&T knowledge desired
Knowledgeable on material selection, characteristics, and usage; metals, plastics, and ceramics
Able to work on problems requiring the exercise of considerable autonomy, judgment, and expertise.
Able to communicate clearly, effectively, frequently.
Able to Prioritize and execute tasks in a timely manner with general supervision.
Basic knowledge in machine shop, metrology, and tool usage.
Hands-on approach to fulfilling job responsibilities
International travel up to 10% may be required
The anticipated base pay range for this position is 75.000 to 118.450 EUR.
