The CommSec Data and Insights Centre of Excellence (COE) is a central Data and Analytics function under the Pace model that supports the delivery of Data and Analytics offerings and services at Pace. The COE’s mission is to provide trusted data, capabilities and actionable insights in partnership with our stakeholders to drive customer experience, empower decision making and safeguard our data.
The Insights and Decision Science Chapter within the COE is responsible for CommSec’s Insights and Analytics functions. The team supports the strategic decision-making process of the business by way of regular reporting, campaign marketing and remediation analytics. We are also responsible for providing integrated online and offline behavioural insights, building analytics frameworks that help assess and drive customer engagement and building advanced analytics solutions and tools to help CommSec optimise its resources, improve its processes and minimise risk.
The Data Analytics Manager is responsible for performing data analysis to support financial and data remediations for CommSec. Under the PACE model, this role will be in the CommSec Remediation Squad within the Product and Investing Solutions Crew. As Data Analytics Manager, you will be using your advanced SQL and analytics skills to query the data warehouse and be able to perform detailed compensation methodology analysis using CommSec and Group data and provide the business with the required data outputs for financial and data remediations.
Key responsibilities
Perform advanced analysis of CommSec data and systems to provide the business with critical information to support financial and data remediation
Perform detailed analysis of CommSec and Group data to provide the business with information to respond to regulatory requests
Complete relevant project work stream deliverables including quality control/sign off for area of accountability
Ensure the bank’s financial compensation methodologies for remediations and processes are embraced
Responsible for the cleansing, organising and migrating the remediation master data so that it is fit for purpose and properly protected, in line with the overall project objectives

As a self-starter with good organisational skills and excellent communication skills, some of the key traits/experience we are after are as follows:
Advanced SQL Server experience and skills (preferably Microsoft SQL Server and/or Teradata)
Significant data, information management and analytics experience
Be commercially astute, with strong analytical skills, attention to detail and demonstrated ability to work with large and complex data sets.
Demonstrated delivery experience as performing analytical work in high complexity environment
Sound level of proficiency in key capabilities – IT SDLC processes, Agile delivery, written documentation/specification skills
Influencing and consulting skills - the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
