Summary of the position:
The Senior Inventory and Vendor Manager will oversee the management of inventory levels and supplier relationships for the Hitachi Air Centers. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills to ensure optimal stock levels, efficient order processing, and effective vendor coordination. The ideal candidate will have experience in inventory management and vendor relations, preferably in the industrial or manufacturing sector. This position will work with the Sr. Director, Director of Service, Director of Operations, Regional Sales Managers, and the Senior Regional Operations Managers in ensuring proper stock levels of parts and equipment across all locations. Strategies to reduce inventory low turn and discontinued inventory. This role also has responsibility managing the centralized Equipment Sales Purchasing Team as well as Warehouse Managers.
Duties and responsibilities:
High Level Business Objectives:
Lead and coordinate inventory actions across multiple HAC companies, ensuring alignment with company goals and policies.
Develop and implement strategic plans to secure the best and most cost-effective suppliers for the HAC business needs.
Drive initiatives to optimize inventory efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining quality standards.
Develop and monitor inventory and vendor metrics and KPIs to track performance and profitability.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
Work with HGAP Product Management to develop aftermarket supply chains with our key partners.
Inventory Management:
Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess stock and obsolescence.
Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
Analyze inventory trends and forecasts to adjust stock levels and reorder points as needed.
Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure accurate receiving, storing, and shipping of products.
Prepare and present reports on inventory levels, turnover rates, and vendor performance to management.
Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize inventory and vendor management processes.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory transactions, vendor agreements, and purchase orders.
Vendor Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and suppliers.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable conditions for all the HACs.
Evaluate vendor performance and conduct regular reviews to ensure quality and reliability.
Resolve any issues or discrepancies with vendors promptly and professionally.
Miscellaneous:
Demonstrate flexibility/teamwork as additional items will be required to help grow the business.
50% travel required to HAC locations
Monthly meetings with Sr Regional Operations Managers and Directors to review MTD and YTD KPI’s.
Coordination with HGAP Commercial Operations group in development of HAC Playbook and processes.
Assist in the activities for greenfield HAC startups and M&A activities relating to acquired HACs.
Education:
Four-year degree in business or equivalent related business experience required.
Position Requirements:
Greater than five years inventory management experience.
Proven leadership experience with strong written and verbal communication.
Strong understanding of Microsoft office suite.
Experience with ERP systems, SAP preferred

Warehouse Managers (Inventory / Shipping responsibility)
Dotted Line Reports:
Parts Coordinators (purchasing responsibility)
