Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Engineer – Android with expertise in multi‑module architecture, Kotlin concurrency, Jetpack Compose, and cloud integration (AWS). The ideal candidate will design and implement scalable Android applications, modernize legacy systems, and mentor teams on best practices in mobile engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and build multi‑module Android applications from scratch, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
  • Define tech stack considerations and guide teams on modern Android development practices.
  • Implement Kotlin concurrency using coroutines, ensuring robust unit testing and performance optimization.
  • Develop UI with Jetpack Compose, handling side‑effects, re‑composition, and Compose Navigation.
  • Lead legacy‑to‑modern migration initiatives, moving apps to Compose and modular architectures.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Product, QA, DevOps) to deliver high‑quality mobile solutions.
  • Integrate Android applications with AWS cloud services for backend and infrastructure support.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical decision‑making.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in Android development.
  • Strong expertise in Kotlin, coroutines, and unit testing frameworks.
  • Hands‑on experience with Jetpack Compose (navigation, side‑effects, re‑composition).
  • Proven ability to design multi‑module architectures for large‑scale apps.
  • Experience in legacy‑to‑modern migration (XML → Compose, monolith → modular).
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud services and mobile‑cloud integration.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
