We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Database Administrator (DBA).

The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in Microsoft SQL Server, responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of database systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Database Management: Administer and maintain MS SQL Server environments, including installation, configuration, and upgrades.
• Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize database performance using tools such as SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), query plans, and performance monitor. Identify and resolve bottlenecks in complex queries and database structures.
• High Availability & Disaster Recovery: Implement and manage high-availability solutions (e.g., Always On Availability Groups, mirroring, log shipping) and robust disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
• Security & Compliance: Enforce database security policies, manage user permissions, and conduct regular security audits to protect sensitive data.
• Backup & Recovery: Develop, test, and maintain a comprehensive backup and recovery strategy to safeguard against data loss.
• Troubleshooting: Act as the primary escalation point for all database-related issues, providing expert-level troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Automation: Script and automate routine DBA tasks using PowerShell, T-SQL, and other relevant technologies.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development, quality assurance, and IT operations teams to support new application releases and system integrations.

Qualifications

Required Expertise:

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator with a strong focus on MS SQL Server.
• Proven expertise in SQL Server performance tuning, including index management, query optimization, and resource monitoring.
• Deep knowledge of SQL Server high-availability and disaster recovery technologies.
• Experience with SQL Server security principles, including authentication, authorization, and encryption.
• English Advance.
• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field of studies.

Good to Have Skills:

• Hands-on experience with other database technologies such as MongoDB,

PostgreSQL, or MySQL.

• Experience with cloud-based database services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, AWS RDS).
• Knowledge of scripting languages like PowerShell for automation.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, or Azure Data Engineer.
