Union Hospital is looking to add an Administrative Program Coordinator II to its Inpatient Rehab team who will function as a liaison and an administrative, technical and operational resource within the department. Working alongside RN’s, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Social Workers, and the dietary team, you will convey information about the patient status in terms of length of stay and discharge information to connect patients with services, ensure the patient is improving, and create a smooth transition to home upon discharge. You will be the first and last contact for patients to come into this program, requiring you to ensure appropriate documentation is in place to help make patients successful in the program. A high level of independence, an understanding of clinical documentation, and communication skills are essential for success in this role. 

 
A caregiver in this position works varying days from 8:30AM – 5:00PM, which may include weekendsFlexibility to meet the needs of the department is required. 

 
A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Function as liaison and as administrative, technical or operational resource. 

  • Assist Director with projects and daily tasks. 

  • Lead orientation and records management activities and ensure standards are maintained. 

  • Develop and update interdepartmental education programs. 

  • Assist with scheduling, coordination, preparation and communication of meetings. 

  • Facilitate and attend meetings and record key outcomes. 

  • Identify key milestones and deadlines and proactively communicate project status and requirements to achieve results. 

  • Research, analyze and organize information for presentations. 

  • Assist department leadership with large or complex projects and initiates or leads less complex projects. 

  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Associate's Degree and three years of administrative or project management experience 

  • OR High School Diploma/GED and five years of experience 

  • OR Bachelor’s Degree and one year of experience 

  • Solid communication and customer service skills 

  • Strong computer skills and experience with software applications 

 
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field 

  • Experience developing programs (healthcare, financial or education) 

  • Healthcare experience or related organization 

  • Social work background 

  • Health insurance knowledge 

Physical Requirements:

  • High degree dexterity to operate office equipment.

  • May require extended periods of standing, walking or sitting.

  • Good visual acuity through normal or corrected vision.

  • Good hearing acuity.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
