Job Description Summary

               

Gain valuable hands-on experience in internal audit at Lamb Weston. As an integral part of our team, you will contribute to safeguarding our company's assets and ensuring compliance with regulations. You will work closely with experienced auditors to assess financial and operational processes, identify risks, and propose solutions for improvement. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills while gaining exposure to various business functions. This position offers opportunities for professional growth and development and well-positions you for potential participation in our summer Finance internship.

Job Description

Position Responsibilities

  • Assist in the evaluation of internal controls to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) regulations.
  • Contribute to identifying process inefficiencies and developing recommendations to enhance efficiency.
  • Support the preparation of audit reports, summarizing findings and recommendations.
  • Participate in follow-up activities to verify the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Leverage data analytics tools to identify trends, anomalies, and potential risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and conduct audit procedures.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

Position Qualifications

  • Students in their Junior year (Senior students if they are pursuing advanced degree).
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Technology.
  • Prior experience or relevant coursework in accounting or auditing preferred
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).  
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic.
  • Available to work approximately 20-25 hours per week between 8am and 5pm (MT).
