We recently launched digital banks and wallets in multiple global markets to enhance our customers’ experiences with a cutting-edge digital Ecosystem. As a Senior member of the Core Banking Engineering team, you will establish core digital banking and wallet solutions, and empower your team with ownership and agility to quickly respond to Core Banking enhancements, functionality issues, and the implementation of new branches/regions to ensure new digital banking capabilities are delivered quickly to the customers.

 

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead work on innovative, actionable, and efficient technology solutions to drive Core Banking system implementations and enhancements in the assigned region.

  • Demonstrate strong capabilities in assessing business needs while providing creative and effective solutions in conformance to emerging technology standards.

  • Execute success through diligent planning, attention to detail, effective delegation, and efficient decision-making abilities.

  • Interface and collaborate with other engineers in geographically distributed development centers.

  • Strong emphasis on customer journey, product quality, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and continuous development

  • Develop technical & domain expertise and apply in solving product challenges. 

  • Estimate engineering efforts, plan implementation, and roll out applications with cross-functional and cross-regional impacts.

  • Create high performing engineering teams through coaching, career development, and mentorship.

 

Role Requirements

  • A minimum of 7+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering, specifically in the Core Banking space.

  • A Bachelors degree in Engineering, IT, or relevant discipline is preferred. Other relevant Software Engineering experience in the Banking or FinTech industry will be considered.

  • Experience implementing and customizing Core Bank systems with Mambu or similar systems like Tenemos Transact, Flexcube or Avaloq and others.

  • Experience solving functional product needs by effectively leveraging the configuration capabilities of the underlying Core banking systems.

  • Hands-on experience implementing and/or supporting Core Banking systems, especially in the Banking-as-a-Service landscape.

  • Familiarity with integrations, APIs, and enterprise platforms like Java Spring Boot and MuleSoft.

  • Ability to evaluate business needs and achieve alignment among stakeholders, with excellent verbal and written communication skills for managing both direct and indirect talent effectively.

  • Strong technical skills in architecture patterns, solutions design, and integration development.

  • Excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, OOPs, and OOA/D

  • Hands-on experience building a microservices-based architecture and platform developed and deployed at scale.

Salary

The base salary range is $130,000 - $160,000 USD per year. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus that aligns with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates' qualifications, skills, and competencies.
