Meritage Hospitality Group is seeking a Sr. HR Generalist to join the team!

 

What You’ll Do:

As Senior HR Generalist you are an integral part of the Human Resources team, responsible for supporting the Director of Human Resources in creating and executing Human Resources policies and programs that support the Company employees in multiple locations and lines of business. The projects will vary and support Recruiting, Compliance, Risk and Training. The Sr HR Generalist will act as the business partner to the Restaurant Service Center, supporting our individual contributors at our Grand Rapids office.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

  • Partners with the Director of Human Resources to manage assigned departmental projects supporting Operations, Talent Acquisition, Training, Compensation and Benefits and Employee Experience. Sr HR Generalist acts as the project manager for projects as assigned.
  • Facilitates the Performance Snapshot process, including design, training, analytics and action planning process. Manages the data, communication and follow up in partnership with the HRBP group.
  • Works with Director of HR to determine needs for data and analytics supporting HR initiatives. In partnership with Financial Analysts- Develops, monitors and utilizes data to drive Organizational People Results
  • Supports the compliance needs of the HR team by acting as a liaison for Risk Management and HR Process teams as needed. Manages Policy change needs. Maintains updated policies. Project lead for change management related to policy. Updates, develops and maintains handbooks in partnership with the Director of HR and Director of Legal.
  • Works with HR leadership and others to design, develop and create job profiles for all roles and maintain updates. Manages the job profiles in Workday. Creates process improvements related
  • Acts as the HR Business Parter for the Restaurant Service Center individual contributors, providing development, Employee Relations, and engagement support as needed
  • Partners with the Office Manager to support onboarding, exit, stay and check in interview process. Participates in onboarding and orientation as HR partner.
  • Participates in the background check adjudication process as assigned
  • Assists with the creation and implementation of effective training and development programs to meet SOP requirements, skill proficiency and developmental needs across the organization.
  • Supports additional projects and HR related assignments as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Effective interpersonal communication, customer service, teamwork, listening, problem solving, decision making and organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of employees and present information in an easy to understand manner
  • Experienced in Microsoft word, PPT, Excel, Canva, Workday preferred
