Warehouse Floor Supervisor

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees warehouse and distribution operations at Rogers Centre, including receiving, storage, inventory management, product ordering, and coordination of warehouse staff. The role ensures that all event-day operational needs are met efficiently and safely while maintaining accurate inventory records, food safety standards, and compliance with venue and regulatory requirements.

The Role

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise Warehouse Leads and Warehouse Porters, delegating clear work assignments and providing coaching to ensure timely, safe completion of all tasks.
  • Manage the receipt, inspection, and documentation of all incoming product deliveries, verifying accuracy and identifying any discrepancies.
  • Oversee the proper storage, rotation, and organization of all incoming supplies in accordance with Legends standards, including FIFO (first-in-first-out) practices and product segregation.
  • Coordinate the distribution and delivery of product to concession stands, vending locations, and other event-day service areas as directed by management.
  • Conduct regular and accurate inventory counts (bi-weekly, monthly, and as required), manage inventory tracking systems, and reconcile counts to ensure accuracy.
  • Manage product ordering in collaboration with management to ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained based on forecasts, event schedules, and current inventory.
  • Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment, in accordance with safety standards and operational guidelines.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and equipment in compliance with Legends standards and food safety regulations always.
  • Identify and communicate product discrepancies, damages, or losses to management, and assist in resolving issues where possible.
  • Ensure all staff comply with health, safety, and food safety regulations, correct unsafe conditions and behaviours immediately and report hazards to management.
  • Train warehouse staff on all duties, procedures, equipment operation, food safety, and safety practices required for the warehouse function.
  • Prepare and submit accurate reports on inventory levels, warehouse activities, staff performance, and any operational issues or concerns.
  • Coordinate with Concessions, Vending, and Management to support efficient event operations and fulfillment of service requests.

Skills & Abilities

  • Proven supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to direct, motivate, and develop warehouse staff in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage workflows efficiently.
  • Excellent diligence, particularly regarding inventory accuracy, documentation, and compliance with procedures.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for providing clear direction, training staff, and communicating with management and other departments.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems, inventory software, and basic computer applications.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce loss.

Knowledge, Skills, & Experience

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a large warehouse or distribution centre setting, ideally in a food and beverage or hospitality environment.
  • Valid Forklift Truck license and demonstrated proficiency operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Prior supervisory or lead experience, preferably in a warehouse or coordination role.
  • Working knowledge of health and safety regulations and food safety standards (food handler certification is an asset).
  • Effective communication and people skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Ability to perform accurate inventory counts, reconciliation, and basic data entry for inventory management systems.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedule.

Physical Demands

  • Frequent standing, walking, and moving throughout the warehouse and storage areas.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting of heavy product, including cases of beverages, kegs, bins of ice, cases of bottles, and miscellaneous supplies, within a heavy lifting category.
  • Frequent speaking and hearing to communicate with team members, management, and other departments.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for operating equipment, handling and organizing product, and managing documentation.
  • Ability to work in varying temperature conditions, including refrigerated and non-refrigerated storage areas
