About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated Registered Nurse with experience in Endoscopic Nursing to join our dynamic Endoscopy team. This role requires the skills of a critical thinker with advanced patient assessment and clinical skills and someone who is committed to continuous improvement.

·         Ensure high standard of nursing care to patients 

·         Provide technical assistance during diagnostic endoscopic procedures

·         Maintain timely and accurate nursing records

·         Ensure effective admission and discharge processes of patients

·         Liaise with patient, patient’s family, medical and ancillary staff as required or requested

 

Classifications for this position will range from YP3 - YP9 ($69,253.60 - $92,601.60 pro rata per annum). 

 

Your contribution

·         Bachelor of Nursing Degree with AHPRA registration

·         Previous experience in an Endoscopy Suite is essential

·         Motivated and professional, with exceptional communication and time management skills

About the Department
The Endoscopy unit at St Vincent’s carries out 350 - 400 endoscopic procedures per month. These include screening/surveillance gastroscopies and colonoscopies, Balloon enteroscopies, ERCP, Endoscopic Ultrasound, and Bronchoscopy. 
 
We have a focus on interventional treatments such as EMR and are a state referral centre for procedures such as Halo Radiofrequency Ablation treatment of Barretts Oesophagus, Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection for the excision of early cancers and POEM for the treatment of achalasia and participate in a number of multi-centre research studies.
