It enables fast, efficient, and secure data and information exchange across essential systems and applications. Responsibilities

• Part of the Self-Service & Automation team taking care of API Portal on top of our Integration & Data platforms

• Work closely with our front-end developers, platform architects, UX designers, and product managers to create APIs

• Build and maintain backend services and APIs for our API Portal: Design and develop scalable, efficient, and secure RESTful APIs using Node.js, with use of NoSQL databases (DynamoDB) and caching (Redis)

• Co-operate with other platform teams that exposes capabilities through APIs

Expected Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Node.js, working with full-stack applications

• Skilled in designing and developing APIs following REST principles and API design best practices

• Experienced in securing APIs using OAuth2 and other authorization protocols, with knowledge of best practices to protect APIs against common threats

• Proficiency in writing automated tests for backend APIs

• Experience with NoSQL databases: DynamoDB, Redis. At least basic knowledge of relational databases like Postgres

• At least basic familiarity with cloud platforms (especially AWS), CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows

• Be able to navigate through our company's internal deployment process and tools to release new versions of the API

Communication Skills

• Active listening; taking time to understand others’ perspective is critical for team collaboration

• Be able to explain complex technical concepts to less technical stakeholders (e.g. how event loop work or how APIs are structured, etc.)

• Clearly present ideas, potential solutions, or technical challenges

• Being able to clearly document code, API specifications and projects requirements

• Reporting bugs, feature requests, or project updates (we use platforms like Jira, GitHub)

Good to Haves

• Familiarity with Postman or Swagger for API testing and documentation

• Experience with frontend development of web applications, especially in Vue.js

• Knowledge of Docker for managing microservices and deployments

• Familiarity with monitoring tools like AWS CloudWatch and Grafana

• Familiarity with centralized logging systems like ELK Stack
