Job Summary:

As a Business Development Director at Ledcor Technical Services (LTS), you will serve as the senior representative responsible for client engagement and driving targeted growth within specified accounts, desired prospects, services, and regions across Canada and potentially the United States. In this role, you require extensive knowledge and connections within the telecommunication and to establish and grow a new market in the utilities industry. This role will work closely and collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external clients, using comprehensive sales strategies, growth plans, market plans, leveraging existing and creating new relationships to influence and achieve desired revenue and margin targets.

Essential Responsibilities:

Client Relationships and Sales Strategy (50%)

  • Aligned with LTS Ledcor Business Unit operations leader’s, the incumbent will identify and assess new opportunities by discovering and leveraging existing and new client business, financial and technical requirements.
  • Will leverage and influence existing relationship while building new relationships directly with clients, potential clients, and related Industry experts.
  • Develops a sales strategy to achieve growth targets through detailed account planning, market assessments, available market share, and competitive landscape, with a goal to develop long term client contracts.

Market Research and Financial Planning (20%)

  • Conduct thorough market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitive activities.
  • Will be poised to achieve financial objectives by assessing monthly and quarterly forecasts while working with operations and finance,
  • Assist with the preparation and presentation of monthly and quarterly end client business and financial reviews.

Strategic Alignment and Collaboration with Internal Stakeholders (20%)

  • Lead engagement with LTS internal operations, finance, legal, support services and senior leadership for planning and aligning on strategy and tactics to support existing and new clients while withholding Ledcor's focus on health and safety
  • Influencing internal stakeholders on sales strategies to ensure cohesive and effective execution.

Market Engagement and Branding Initiatives (10%)

  • Initiates market engagement, including events, forums and conferences that create opportunity for Ledcor branding and networking with new clients or influencers who can support Ledcor's goal

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of Telecommunications industry experience with a concentration in business development, account management and sales experience
  • Knowledge of telecommunications Outside Plant construction including, design, permits, long-haul, middle mile, fiber to the home and infrastructure as well as Technical Field Services such as business installations, break fix, network services and support
  • Proven experience in developing, nurturing, and sustaining client relationships within the Telecommunications industry
  • Ability to determine priorities and consistently deliver results.
  • Knowledge of the Utility Distribution industry (specific to Power and Gas is an asset)

Working Conditions:

  • This role provides a flexible work arrangement, balancing your responsibilities between the comfort of your home office and the collaborative environment of our office space.
  • Travel up to 35% of the time across Canada and the United States
