Job Summary:

Vencora is looking for a self-motivated, highly organized, and independent individual responsible for leading a banking software business unit . Reporting to the Portfolio COO, this person will have a central role in building and transforming the business strategy, team’s capabilities, and culture into a strong and sustainable growth-oriented business. The CEO will be responsible for motivating staff and putting a structure in place for sales, project management, support, development, with complete P&L responsibilities. The CEO would be responsible for gaining deep knowledge of the competitive environment, building strong relationships with customers, and having the vision and energy to drive the business strategy to ensure profitable growth. They will be responsible for revenue growth of the business and day to day office/division management.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

1.   Leadership / Management

  • Change oriented mentality to streamline processes, improve efficiencies and grow business
  • Review and reorganize leadership team where necessary
  • Own the long-range, annual, and quarterly financial and non-financial goals
  • Develop and communicate a clear vision of goals and objectives, strategies, philosophies about growth, revenue generation and profitability, customer care agenda
  • Generate, maintain, and review with management, annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue statistics (leading and lagging indicators) on financial statistics, productivity rates, customer satisfaction trends and overall improvement trends.
    • Be hands-on in day-to-day operations including sales performance, sales opportunity management, forecasting, R&D capacity management, services resourcing, customer support, and customer project delivery
    • Identify and communicate risks and issues and action remediation and mitigation plans
    • Become a subject matter expert on the market, the product, and the competition
    • Be a go-to person and strategic leader within the company
    • Drive regular leadership/management meetings and townhalls
    • Ensure clear focus on people/talent and customers
    • Identify potential M&A opportunities to help grow the business

2.    Human Resources – working with Human Resources Leader

- Partner with HR to build people first company culture

        - Implement talent management processes: recruitment, scorecarding, talent reviews, employee development plans, succession plans etc

        - Ensure compensation planning process is completed in a timely manner

        - Develop resourcing strategies

        - Help roll out HR policies and procedures

3.   Program Management – working with Client Services Leader

  • Ensure internal and external project kick offs are held as appropriate and projects are set up in corporate systems
  • Control projects to ensure to scope, budget, schedule and quality delivery
  • Ensure Project Managers and Technical Services Engineers manage customer expectations and provide regular client communications
  • Provide monthly project portfolio performance reports to upper management
  • Escalate problem projects to upper management as necessary

4.   Sales – working with Sales Leader

  • Drive sales group to increase new name customer acquisition and expand back to base sales
  • Develop and maintain competitive intelligence programs and generate industry direction reports to support development of new features and products.

5.   Customer Care – working with Client Services Leader

  • Execute an effective long-term customer care program for clients
  • Implement and maintain client support initiatives.
  • Drive the preparation of a comprehensive self-help video library for customers 
  • Facilitate in-house and client training sessions and regional conferences
  • Monitor and produce documentation on Customer Care metrics relating to program usage, satisfaction levels, ticket throughput and resolution
  • Coordinate the administration of annual customer satisfaction and information gathering surveys and other communication tools.

6.   Research and Development – working with R&D Leader

  • Ensure clear Product Road Maps are established, followed and adapted to respond to market needs including legacy products and new initiatives with appropriate business models
  • Balance the investment in R&D with the investment in maintenance to maximize new name growth and retention of existing customers while ensuring a streamlined Customer Care and R&D operation
  • Track Product Manager prioritization of R&D tasks and ensure that these are entered into the corporate system and prioritized and executed on by software developers
  • Facilitate growth of Product Managers through ensuring their activities are aligned with the job description

7.   Controlling / Internal

Review with Sr. Management

  • Annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue results/forecasts and costs
  • Participate in the development of special projects, as well as relationships with various levels at banking organizations
  • Participate in the development of internal department policies and programs to support quality and growth.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Exceptional financial management skills

  • Ability to own and manager P&L
  • Prior experience in the B2B software industry, experience with Banking software an asset
  • Fluency in English and Spanish a must
  • Experience directing the day to day and long-term operations strategies and goals of a small to medium-sized business unit within a larger organization
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and in leadership roles
  • Expert cross functional experience and proven success in at least two operational areas – sales, marketing, professional services, technical delivery, customer care and/or product management with strong financial and business acumen
  • Excellent communication, both orally and in writing with outstanding presentation skills – pivotal to this role is an ability to build relationships with C-suite
  • Proven collaboration skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science/ engineering, IT or other related field

Travel:

  • Travel is required 50% at times.
