Job Summary:

Under close supervision, this position is responsible for the assembly and installation of products while providing a safe, efficient, and courteous delivery to our customers. Assist in helping load and unload items and maintain cleanliness of assigned vehicle and installation site. The incumbent must be able to work any shift to satisfy the demand for flexibility in scheduling to ensure operational success. This includes but is not limited to day, night, and/or weekend shifts.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Help assemble and install products for all customers and manufacturers within a home location or job site

• Properly assemble products per manufacturer's specifications, test for proper functionality and load, unload, and install safely, according to local codes and standards without damage to the product or customer location

• Identify and resolve any issues in a professional and effective manner to ensure a positive outcome

• Interact with coworkers/customers in a professional and fast-paced environment to ensure customer needs are met while building a strong working relationship with a positive attitude

• Understand and promote all JBHT safety requirements including the required use of personal protective equipment to ensure the safety of self and co-workers; adhere to safety policies and procedures to ensure the job site is safe for product installation and free from hazards and obstructions that could endanger workers or damage the delivery site

• Assist with project execution through effective communication to improve operational efficiency and profitability

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Must possess the ability to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED with 1-2 years experience in installing appliances, manual or physical labor, construction site preferred, and/or military equivalent experience; possession of a valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record that meets JBHT standards.

  • Ability to fulfill physical requirements (lift/move product up to 100 pounds or greater)
  • Ability to wear appropriate work attire (bump cap, footwear-steel toed shoes, gloves, safety vest)
  • Customer service skills
  • Experience in material handling
  • Experience installing large, bulky equipment
  • Willingness to work flexible workdays and hours
  • Experience utilizing hand and power tools
  • May travel up to 50% of the time

The expected starting pay range for this position is between $18.00-22.50.


This position is not eligible for employment-based sponsorship.

Compensation:

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.  This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
