PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Responsible for leading the Global strategy and design for FME’s Total Rewards programs including Merit Process, Salary Structures, Benchmarking Strategy, Global Job Architecture, and Short-term Incentives.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the creation, strategy & design of best-in-class compensation systems, programs, policies and procedures in support of Global Total Rewards strategy as well as aligned to business strategy.
  • Oversee and guide various project initiatives related to Total Rewards programs, integrating resources, teams, and budget while delivering timely results.
  • Provide strategic oversight, leadership and expertise to Compensation staff ensuring that compensation and pay practices are compliant with all pertinent regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate and audit various compensation programs and metrics to identify trends and understand program value, identifying and recommending adjustments and changes as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Communications, Finance Legal, Tax and other internal stakeholders to design, develop and oversee compensation related content and materials for managers and employees.
  • Provide separate training and education programs for targeted management groups as requested.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures.
  • Monitor the research of market conditions and the analysis of survey data to establish and maintain equitable pay grades, competitive salary structures and ranges, and competitive short term incentive programs.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching for direct reports to maintain an engaged and productive workforce; oversee and manage the workload and responsibilities of assigned staff.
  • Work with external compensation vendors to achieve optimal system performance and maintain effective working relationships.

EDUCATION:

  • BA, BS, MA or MBA with a preferred focus on human resources management
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation or SHRM Certification (SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP) preferred

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Proven professional experience of at least 5-8 years (Program Manager)
  • 7+ years' experience in a senior compensation consultant/leadership role.
  • 5+ years' experience with HRIS, compensation systems, and/or data management required
  • Current knowledge of Compensation strategies, theories, best practices, and regulations.
  • Strong management skills with the ability to lead cohesive and productive teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of management through diplomacy and tact.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills combined with effective interpersonal skills.
  • Solid to expert knowledge of FLSA and Wage and Hour laws.
  • Strong consultative skills to work with all levels of management in a relationship driven organization.
  • Good understanding of total compensation practices.
  • Competency with computer software applications such as Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to identify and solve problems creatively with a win-win focus.
  • Must be flexible with the ability to work in situations where there is not unique correct answer.
